John F. Kennedy (Chapter1)

This week, I am in charge of chapter 1 of John F. Kennedy. In chapter 1, it is mainly about his attraction, so I am going to write about his attraction, quoting from the book.  John F. Kennedy died more than fifty years ago, but the world still remembers him. There are many books about him, and in 1991 Oliver Stone made a film, JFK, about his death. Important buildings and other places carry his name. Perhaps the most famous is the John F, Kennedy International Airport in New York, but there is also the John F, Kennedy Space Center, John F, Kennedy University, and many schools.   I only knew John F, Kennedy International Airport, so first time I read and fine it there are such big number of buildings and books about him, I was really amazed.   The government of Canada even called a mountain by his name: Mount Kennedy in the Kluane National Park in the Yukon.  It is very interesting that John F, Kennedy influenced even how foreign people call their own country’s mountain.   He was also

Port Out Starboard Home

This time I read Port Out Starboard Home. So I am going to introduce the book. Sometimes when the true origin of a word isn’t known (and sometimes even when it is), entirely fictitious theories and tall tales emerge to try to fill in the gap. These so-called folk etymologies often provide neater, cleverer, and wittier explanations than any genuine etymology ever could, all of which fuels their popularity and makes them all the more likely to be passed around—but sadly, there’s just no escaping the fact that they’re not true. So many words we missunderstand the true are explained here. I feel I am so interested of the book while reading because I can learn the origine of English words by reading it.

Wild Cats

Pet cats live with people. People give them food. Wild cats don't live with people. They live outside and they find food. What cats can you see here? What wild cats do you know? (p3.) Today, I raed Wild Cats. This book is very educational. I didn't know about wild cats well. I learnd wild cat's kinds, fur, mouths, teeth, and tails. Anyway cats are very cute lol Wild Cats (Oxford Read and Discover Level 1) (English Edition) 著者 : Rob Sved Oxford University Press 発売日 : 2015-02-05 ブクログでレビューを見る»
